Philosophy of Education

By providing a quality environment within a school or school system, developmentally appropriate and best practices will be commonplace for staff, ensuring strong, decisive action on behalf of the administration while still maintaining focus on support and resources for staff while achieving excellence pertaining to systematic goals.

I believe excellence in education starts with knowledge and willingness on the part of the student, teacher and administrator.

I will provide support to foster motivation for learning because all students have the ability to learn.
I will ensure that all students are not viewed as vessels to be filled with knowledge, rather I will establish that students are unique individuals who can contribute intellectually or provide valuable insight to subject matter and life circumstances.
I will not allow students to be thwarted by a false sense of “subject mastery” that requires regurgitation of information; instead I will encourage critical thinking pertaining to the subject matter.

I will demonstrate and inspire teachers to create classroom communities where intentional problem solving is valued.
I will implore teachers to constantly update their own learning and professional development.
I will seek out teachers who communicate clearly and with good intentions with all staff and administration in order to enhance the atmosphere of the school.

I must nurture ambitions and provide a quality learning environment.
I will be successful by striving to appreciate and embrace diversity.
I will make informed decisions where everyone’s voice is acknowledged.
I will seek to have positive daily interactions with staff and students to establish a community of learning that values respect and collaboration.
